Basic Skill Nursing and Shar’i NursingThis course is the initial part of a Nurse Education processes. The basic professional nursing stage is the initial part of a series of stage nurse education processes which will be followed by all students. This course focus on client disruption in fulfilling daily needs and implementing nursing care to fulfill the needs of clients and families using the nursing care process.Basic professional nursing is focused on honing student’s capability to be able to behave and act as professional nurses. The capability including the ability to carry out an analysis of the daily need disruption of clients and families. Be caring at every opportunity to provide nursing care, foster interpersonal relationships with clients and their families, provide care when clients and families experience disruption in fulfilling daily needs.
Psychiatric Nursing This course is a stage that leads students to professional adaptation to accept the gradual delegation of authority in carrying out psychiatric nursing care provided to individuals, families and communities in a preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative way as well as providing health education, carrying out advocacy functions at client, making legal and ethical decisions, and using the latest research results related to psychiatric nursing.
Surgical Medical NursingThis course is a stage that leads students to professional adaptation in accepting gradual delegation of authority in providing professional nursing care, providing health education, carrying out advocacy functions for clients, making legal and ethical decisions using the latest research results related to nursing for adults. The practice of the medical surgical nursing profession includes nursing care for adult clients in the family context who experience disruption in fulfilling their daily needs due to disorders of one organ system or several organ systems in their body.
Pediatric NursingThis course is a stage that leads students to professional adaptation in accepting gradual delegation of authority in providing professional nursing care, providing health education, carrying out advocacy functions for clients, making legal and ethical decisions using the latest research results related to nursing for children. Pediatric nursing profession including children with various age levels (neonates, babies, toddlers, pre-schooler, schooler, and teenagers) in the family context which aims to optimize growth and development in healthy children, acutely ill children, and children with life threaten illnesses, children social pediatric problems, and integrated management of sick toddlers using a nursing process approach in a clinical setting.
Maternity NursingThis course is a stage that leads students to professional adaptation in accepting gradual delegation of authority in providing professional nursing care, providing health education, carrying out advocacy functions for clients, making legal and ethical decisions using the latest research results related to maternity nursing in the family context.Maternity nursing profession practicing in family context includes prenatal, childbirth, and postnatal both normal and at risk as well as the reproductive system disorders.
Nursing ManagementProfessional nursing management is a program that provides students with professional adaptation to be able to apply concepts related to management and leadership in nursing services that are appropriate to current conditions.Professional nursing management includes planning, organizing, directing and controlling by applying various effective leadership styles. During practice period, students initiate effective and innovative nursing care in nursing services.
Emergency and Critical Care NursingThis course is a stage that leads students to professional adaptation in accepting gradual delegation of authority in providing professional nursing care, providing health education, carrying out advocacy functions for clients, making legal and ethical decisions using the latest research results related to emergency and critical care nursing.Emergency and critical care nursing profession includes nursing care in the family context for clients of various ages who experience problems fulfilling their basic needs due to disruption of one system (organ) or several systems (organs) of the body in an emergency situation.
Gerontic NursingThis course is a stage that leads students to professional adaptation in accepting gradual delegation of authority in providing professional nursing care, providing health education, carrying out advocacy functions for clients, making legal and ethical decisions using the latest research results related to gerontic nursing. The professional practice of gerontic nursing focuses on elderly clients with actual, risk, and potential health problems and to improve the client’s quality of life.
Family and Community NursingThis course is a stage that leads students to professional adaptation in accepting gradual delegation of authority in providing professional nursing care for primary, secondary and tertiary prevention to families with actual, risk and potential health problems. Students also receive training to carry out advocacy functions, make legal and ethical decisions using the latest research results related to family and community nursing. Family and community nursing profession focuses on implementing government policies and programs regarding public health and family empowerment through cross-program and sectoral collaboration.The focus of the family nursing profession with a load of 2 credits, its implementation is integrated with community nursing which has a study load of 3 credits, family nursing profession is managed by students individually in accordance with the four basic human needs according to Henderson (1966). Meanwhile, community nursing profession implements nursing practice by students in groups who are placed in areas at the certain group level. 
Islamic Complementary NursingComplementary and Alternative Medicines (CAMs) have long been used by society, especially in Indonesia. Recently, the use of complementary-alternative medicine continues to increase, including Islamic-based complementary-alternative medicine. Therefore, in forming Islamic nurse graduates who are professional and culturally sensitive, it is necessary to have sufficient knowledge regarding medicine from an Islamic perspective and other complementary-alternative medicine so that nurses can play an active role in providing correct information and protecting patients from unsafe complementary-alternative therapy.
Elective This course is a clinical learning process that applies nursing concepts and principles to provide nursing care to either newborn or elderly clients in the room or place of the student’s choice for deeper study. This course is part of a professional course, where in this course students are expected to be proficient in a certain area.As explained above, the elective area which is used as a practice area is the place or land chosen by students to learn more deeply about everything in the area of ​​elective. However, currently considering the Covid-19 pandemic conditions, the area/land that can be used as a place for student practice is limited because it is chosen taking into account student safety, applicable health protocols and the physical, mental and financial readiness of the students. The elective courses proposed currently include the specializations in Community Nursing, Mental Nursing and Wound Care.
Final paperThis course begins with practice according to the student’s elective (pediatric nursing, maternity nursing, medical surgical nursing, psychiatric nursing, community nursing and gerontic nursing). The next activity is preparing a report according to the selected case. This course focuses on the scientific approach as a problem solving strategy, identifying phenomena of client needs/nursing problems, implementing interventions according to evidence-based practice. The practice area used are hospitals, health centers, and communities. The introductory material used is Indonesia language.Learning outcomes: When faced with patients/clients: individuals or families who experience health problems in the nursing elective area, including children, maternity, medical surgery, psychiatric, community, and gerontics, students are able to prepare a final scientific work based on nursing care with a scientific approach as a problem solving strategy, identify nursing needs/problem phenomena, and implement the interventions according to evidence-based practice.
